Jocelyn Joseph (TIga)

The only thing Tiga has ever really wanted is a home and a family. His story is a shining example of why we do what we do. He found himself at an orphanage when the gang leaders in the streets of Cite Soleil handed him over to them in 2017. When the orphanage closed a few years later, Tiga was placed in our program living with a foster family for several years now. The area where he is currently living with his foster family is still gang controlled and it is time for us to move him closer to the rest of the Haiti Mama family, in our new rural location. We are actively looking for a family in our new community that will take Tiga in and support him as he finishes school. Our goal is to help Tiga develop the skills to support himself when he becomes an adult.

We were never able to find his biological roots, and we really are all he’s got.

Tiga is currently 17 years old and will be with Haiti Mama until he finishes school and decides on a career.
