Our History

Haiti Mama was founded in 2014 by Tausha Pearson

Tausha lead a group of Haitian social worker students through Social Work internships. In the process, they visited countless orphanages together. One orphanage caused so much heartache - Patrick exclaimed "I'm not going to any more orphanages! Why is my country allowing this? These kids are suffering and they have families!!"

That was the day Tausha and a group of Haitian change makers decided to build an alternative solution. That was the day we started working to reunite families.

In October of 2016, we celebrated a huge milestone and became registered to provide Family Reunification and Rehabilitation services with the Haitian Government. Our Social Workers have guided every step we've taken to build a family-service model in their homeland

Over the years we have not only continued to reunite children with their families but we have grown to establish our production center that supports our Mama Box and our Boutique. This allows us to teach skills to parents and provide them with a living wage.
